Spring Wardrobe Color Palette

I think I've pretty much narrowed down my main spring wardrobe colors: nude, lemon, mint, poppy and sky.  I'm pretty into the brights paired with neutrals for spring and summer and I can't wait to get some of these colors in my closet! I'm also trying to figure out the best way to get some prints into my wardrobe. All these printed pants that keep showing up are making me really excited but I'm not sure how flattering they would be for me. I'll probably head down to Michigan Ave. to give some a go in the fitting room before I commit to anything sewing wise. Perhaps some printed shorts would be better for me. I like this photo with my spring colors because it looks just like spring in Chicago color wise (obviously not landscape wise). Clouds, blue skies peeking through but still the chill of winter that just won't let go no matter how hard you beg. The image is of Mt. Shasta taken by my friend Julia when she was out west a few months ago. You should see this awesome wheat paste photographic mural she and her boyfriend Brian did in their apartment. SO jealous, it's like a little bit of nice weather at all times. Anyway tangent there...I was talking about spring colors. I've also started working on two textile prints that I might incorporate into the sewing depending on how my samples come out. They should be arriving sometime in the next week so I'll be sure to sneak a peek here when they arrive, I can't wait! Now if only we could get some sunshine here in Chicago to get me out of this funk I'd be all set and might actually feel like sketching out some outfits. One can hope right?
