Thanksgiving was pretty great. It was my first gluten free thanksgiving which included a vast array of gluten free flours (sort of crazy) and a beagle. My parents stopped by for brunch and the dog show and brought my sister’s beagle eV (the physics abbreviation for electron volt, her husband is a physicist) so we were full up before the big feast even hit. The pie turned out alright, the filling was top notch, but the crust, of course, was a bit chewy. The recipe I followed called for apple cider vinegar which was very apparent in the finished crust. Half my taste testers loved that fact and half thought it was really strange, as did I. Hope everyone had a great holiday, I’m back working in the studio today…gotta get ready for the next holiday!
